Saturday morning at 8am, the best players from Ultimate Hoops leagues around the country walk into Life Time Sky in Times Square for the National Tournament.

If you have not come across Ultimate Hoops, it is the adult league that runs inside Life Time clubs at hundreds of locations across the States. Real leagues, real standings, guys who have been guarding each other on week nights for years.

The winner walks out with a national title that a few thousand players tried to get to.

Springfield, same day

The other national tournament this Saturday is in Massachusetts, and it is a ceremony rather than a game. The Basketball Hall of Fame enshrines the class of 2026: Doc Rivers, Candace Parker, Amar'e Stoudemire, Elena Delle Donne, Chamique Holdsclaw, Joey Crawford, Mark Few (Go Zags!), and the 1996 USA women's team.
